BUILDING USE FOR NON-CHURCH ACTIVITY POLICY

 

Application Process:

All requests for use of the First Baptist Church Facility must be handled through the application process by using the form on the reverse side of this sheet.  Requests are to be made at least 45 days prior to use.  (This will allow sufficient time for the Property Management Committee to properly process the request.)  The church calendar must be open for the date and time requested.

 

Use of the Facilities by Non-Church Members:

Use of the facilities by non-church members is limited to recognized non-profit, charitable organizations with Butte County tax-exempt status (religious, church or welfare) and for weddings and wedding receptions.  You are asked to have your own insurance for the requested usage.  You will not be covered by our insurance.

 

The facilities must be used in accord with Christian teachings and in a responsible manner.  No smoking, alcoholic beverages or other drugs are allowed.  The buildings and grounds will be left in the same condition as found.  All lights should be off inside the building and all doors locked when you leave.  No keys for the building will be given out.  A church member will open the doors and unlock needed areas of the building.  The requesting group is responsible for cost of breakage or other damage.

 

Non profit organizations using the church building will be asked to make a donation to cover the cost of utilities and maintenance.  Costs for custodial services required will be charged by the Men’s Fellowship if the buildings and grounds are not left in a clean and orderly condition.  There is no storage space available.  Please be prepared to bring necessary equipment with you.  The fee for nursery hygiene and laundry is $5.00 per meeting or event.

 

 

Donation Schedule:

 

Social Hall or Sanctuary:     

 

Reimbursements:         Use of building           $75.00 minimum, $25.00 per hour after 3 hours

 

                                    Janitorial – or

                                    Set up/Clean up           $35.00 minimum  (Charged by Men’s Fellowship only if needed)

 

Use of Social Hall includes use of the following:  Table and Chairs, Chalkboard, Stage, Piano, Restrooms, Coffee Pot (large old one), Coffee servers (brown), clear plastic pitchers, punch pot with a spout.
